Deadline-driven, he’s adept at succinct short-form narrative, in-depth articles or reports, features, op-eds and Web and blog copy. His op-eds, primarily ghostwritten for others, have appeared in such leading publications as USA Today, The Washington Post, The Nation, The Atlantic, Reuters and National Law Journal. For almost eight years (between 2009 and 2017) he wrote regularly for Gavel Grab, the blog of the Justice at Stake Campaign and later of the Alliance for Justice Action Campaign.

TOP-NOTCH RESEARCH: Using both traditional and new media tools, Hardin has the research skills to document a compelling report, lay the groundwork for a probing interview or closely monitor political and corporate activity.

BROAD EXPERTISE: He has written extensively about tobacco regulation and health, civil rights and criminal justice, judicial selection and politics, ethics and human medical experimentation and the intersection of history and public policy.
